Botox may be used to reduce or prevent the appearance of wrinkles caused by movement of the underlying muscles. Common treatment areas include foreheads, wrinkling between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet.
Cosmetic Botox Uses
In the dental setting, Botox has multiple applications beyond minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. If you struggle with facial pain as the result of clenching or grinding at night, Botox can be used to calm the muscles used for clenching. Not only does this reduce or eliminate pain, it also protects the dentition from damage.
